Learn how to prepare soil, set up watering systems, choose plants, follow-up maintenance, and find out the best time to plant with the Friends of Manito!
Planting native plants and their allies are an important element for creating a sustainable and resource thrifty garden as we face a changing climate. Pat Munts, a local gardening columnist and author with over 45 years experience, will discuss preparing the soil, setting up watering systems, choosing and buying plants, and the best time to plant and follow-up maintenance. She will also share her recent experiences in establishing a native plant labyrinth at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
