Hear from two of the Hive's Artists-In-Residence about how they reclaimed life as artists after many life interruptions along the way.
Artists-In-Residence Jesse Peck and Lesley Crane will share some of their current projects as well as their stories about art making, motherhood, working and how to make it all happen at once. As artists, mothers, and workers they know firsthand the juggling act that it takes to handle all of these things and not lose sight of yourself as an artist and individual. See how they’ve navigated these waters and survived. This artist talk will be a celebration of these two artist’s work and a conversation filled with inspiration for creating!
Lesley’s primary mediums are typical drawing materials combined with non-traditional mediums such as dirt, glitter and cut paper.
Jesse is working on a multi-media narrative that will culminate in a graphic memoir. She wants it to result in more of a conversation, showing interior life as shared experience.
