Ever wonder how to get your art in public places? Join us for a free, in-person info session to learn about the Washington State Arts Commission's Public Art Roster.
During this session, representatives from ArtsWA will walk you through how to prepare your portfolio and share helpful resources for the application process. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with staff from ArtsWA's Art in Public Places program.
What is the Public Artist Roster?
The Public Artist Roster is a pre-qualified list of professional visual artists. These artists are eligible to create site-responsive works of art for K-12 public schools, colleges, universities, and state agencies. Art in Public Places (AIPP) project managers facilitate this process.
What is the Art in Public Places program?
The Art in Public Places program seeks a diverse range of artists to create artworks for state agencies, colleges, universities, and public schools throughout Washington state.
The Public Artist Roster is our main tool for choosing artists for our public art commissions. Artists based in the US and British Columbia are eligible to apply. We are looking for diverse, talented artists. Previous public art experience is not required.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
