We will discuss what to do when someone with dementia is experiencing an emergency situation.
Geared toward both unpaid caregivers and healthcare workers, this series is a monthly, in-depth exploration of many topics related to dementia. Topics include effective communication strategies, understanding and responding to dementia behaviors, a strengths-based approach to dementia behaviors and emergency situations. We meet monthly on the 1st Wednesday at South Hill Library.
This is presented by the Spokane Regional Dementia Friendly Community and Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington. A guest healthcare professional may attend this session.
