A memory garden is a garden designed specifically for people living with dementia and their caregivers. Hear the progress of one man's effort in bringing the first of its kind to Spokane.
A memory garden in Manito Park? Bob Scarfo thinks so! Scarfo, a retired professor at Interdisciplinary Design Institute of WSU, has been on a quest to bring the first ever public memory garden to Spokane. Come hear his efforts and how this tremendous vision is now at the cusp of becoming a reality.
Scarfo is the owner of Land and Life LLC, a landscape design firm. He currently serves on Washington State's Council on Aging.
