Our memories shape who we are, yet it can be difficult to explain intimate memories in a way that people who have not experienced them will understand.
Join Hive artist-in-residence Allegra Armstrong for an evening of poetry writing! Participants will explore recalling the five senses in memory and how to render our memories on the page in immersive ways. This will be a generative writing workshop, and participants should expect to leave with several first drafts of new poems.
We will provide paper and writing implements but if you have a favorite notebook or pen/pencil, please bring that or if you prefer writing on your computer or tablet, please bring.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations (i.e. hearing assistance, ASL requests, or other ADA inquiries), email sday@spokanelibrary.org.
