Join Kim West and Mark Manning, internationally trained handpan instructors, for a fun workshop on how to play a handpan.
This is designed for first-time players. Previous Handpan Discovery workshop attendees are welcome to join!
You will learn about the history of the handpan, how they are made, and how you can easily learn to play melody, harmony, and rhythm. No musical background is necessary.
We will be talking about focusing on 'heart coherence' that can be useful while playing your handpan.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own D Kurd 10 Handpan for this class. For those who do not own a handpan, D Kurd 10 handpans are available. This workshop is free and open to the public. Class registration is limited to 10 students.
