Participants will generate new writing in class through inspiring prompts and will discuss process and obstacles to crafting prose poems.

About the presenter: Mery Noel Smith is currently the Spokane Poet Laureate. Her work centers on grief and recovery. She has four children at home and one service animal. Mery's work can be found online at merynoel.com. She's been published in The Spokesman Review and The Comet.
