Witches in the Woods Writing Workshop
With Lauren Westerfield and Sharma Shields
Saturday, July 25
9:00am - 10:00am
Riverside State Park
Bowl & Pitcher Kitchen ShelterA short, fun, outdoorsy workshop at Riverside State Park. Come be inspired by writing prompts about witches and wilderness.
Local writers Sharma Shields (Spokane Public Library's Writing Education Specialist) and Lauren Westerfield will offer writing examples and prompts that involve witches and/or outdoorsy themes. Expect at least two writing prompts, time to write, and discussion and optional sharing aloud. Open to all genders, style of writing, level of writing (newbies and experienced writers alike), and genre interests.
We'll meet at the Bowl & Pitcher Kitchen Shelter/day-use area of beautiful Riverside State Park.
Note: Parking at Riverside State Park requires use of a Discover Pass or payment at the booth upon entry. A one-day parking pass is $10. Or you can check out a Discover Pass from the library (if not already checked out) here. There is also at the library a "Checkout Washington" backpack that includes a Discover Pass.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
