Poetry and the More-Than-Human World
5-Week Course in Ecopoetics with Hive writer, Kurtis Ebeling
Tuesday, June 23
6:00pm - 7:30pm
The Hive
Studio EA low-stakes, generative poetry workshop for those interested in learning about different approaches to writing the "nature poem" and thinking about its place in the world of contemporary poetry.
This 5-week workshop is an accessible and low-stakes opportunity to compose new poems, read new and unfamiliar works, and talk about a few of the theories and forms that breathe new life into the subject of nature poetry. Nature poetry is a genre that uses the natural world as its primary subject matter, lens, and inspiration.
Additionally, this course will emphasize poetry as a means of developing our attention to everyday experiences and the natural world we live in. That said, poetry can be whatever you want it to be, so please if you decide to join us, take whatever is most useful to you and your writing!
Please plan on attending all 5 sessions!
