Handmade paper is unique and beautiful, created from basic materials. Papermaking is an easy and affordable process that participants will learn and be able to replicate on their own.
Papermaking is not only a sustainable practice but it is something that can elevate your art. Handmade paper can be used in so many mediums, such as printmaking, cards, letters, painting, drawing and many more. We will go over the tips and tricks of the process. One of the most exciting parts of papermaking is how many different varieties are possible. It's a great way to use up scrap paper.
This hands-on program will allow all participants to make their own paper and learn the process so they can continue at home if they wish. All supplies will be provided and aprons are available to borrow if you don't bring your own.
If you would like, sign up for Carly and Lily's second program the following week and learn to make stamps that you can use on your handmade paper.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
