CreativeMornings Spokane
A Creative Morning of Community, Coffee & Inspiration!
Friday, August 28
8:30am - 10:00am
Shadle Park
Shadle Park EventsJoin Spokane’s creative community for a free and uplifting talk with coffee, breakfast, and inspiration at Shadle Park Library. Doors open at 8am.
CreativeMornings Spokane exists to celebrate and build a space where creativity, community, and conversation thrive together. Join us for another inspiring CreativeMornings Spokane event, hosted at Shadle Park Library! Each month, CreativeMornings chapters around the globe explore a shared theme… and this month, it's Nakhlah (PALM). Did you know that Palm trees bend and sway during duress, but they do not break? Their strong network of roots keeps them standing, and their flexibility to deal with what's thrown at them means they survive!
This month we are featuring Spokane’s Poet Laureate, Mery Noel Smith as the speaker, music by Abe Kenney, free breakfast bites and Roast House Coffee (because creative minds should have full bellies), and the chance to meet some really cool friends in our community. Our events are run entirely by volunteers and powered by local love & generosity.
Expect a lively, welcoming atmosphere filled with art, ideas, and community. While you're here, check out the library!
This event is free and open to all adults. Registration is required/strongly encouraged. Bring your favorite coffee mug as well as your curiosity, community spirit, and a friend (but ask your friend to register also).
About CreativeMornings:
CreativeMornings is the world’s largest creative community; hosting local chapter events in cities around the world every Friday, Virtual FieldTrips every week, and job postings and company profiles via the CreativeGuild. In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg (Swissmiss) started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.
Today, attendees gather in cities around the world and online via Virtual FieldTrips to enjoy creative inspiration and meaningful connections.
Our volunteer hosts and their teams organize local chapters that not only celebrate their city’s creative talent but also create an open space to connect with other big-hearted individuals.

By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations (i.e. hearing assistance, ASL requests, or other ADA inquiries), email sday@spokanelibrary.org.
