Artist Genie Maples uses both paint and stitching in her artwork which is on view in the Chase Gallery right now (until the end of August). Stitching is a wonderful way to add a three-dimensional element to artwork but it also meditative and calming.
Join us for an informal lunchtime stitching session in the Chase Gallery where you can be inspired by Genie’s work and also ask her questions about her art. Stay for the whole time or drop in for part.
You can bring your own stitching project or try your hand with supplies that we provide. Minimal guidance will be provided. Examples of stitching projects to bring: knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, mending projects.
Lunch not provided but you can bring your own if this is your lunch break.
The Chase Gallery is in the lower level of City Hall, 808 West Spokane Falls Blvd. Please enter through the main entrance on Spokane Falls Blvd. and tell the guard you're going to the program in the Chase Gallery. From there you can take the stairs or elevator down to the lower level.

By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
