Community Writing Workshops with EWU Writing Students

A Five-Week Poetry Workshop

A critiquing writing workshop led by students from EWU's MFA Program in Writing. This workshop is for poetry.

Hosted by Eastern Washington University MFA students, this workshop promises to provide a space for any writer to develop their practice. Open to writers of all abilities and backgrounds. 

This workshop is for writers of poetry. Please note the MFA students will also be teaching a five-week course for prose that begins on September 28th.

Please note this is a five-week series. Only register if you expect to attend all five weeks, which occur every other week starting October 5th. The dates are as follows: October 5th, Oct 19th, Nov 2nd, Nov 16th and Nov 30th.

About the Presenters: 

Sophia McLain is a writer from Arkansas and the fiction editor for Willow Springs magazine. She is in her second-year as a fiction student in the MFA at EWU program.

Elsa Cruz is a second-year fiction student in the MFA program at EWU, where she also teaches English. Her fiction often focuses on nature, especially animals. 

Rose DePaolo is a poet, mother, and nature lover from Spokane where she lives with her partner, children and dogs. She is a second-year poetry student in the MFA program at EWU where she also teaches English.
