Spokane River Salmon: Where Are We Now? Where Are We Going?

Featuring the Spokane Tribe's Anadromous Program

Conor Giorgi, director of the Spokane Tribal Fisheries Anadromous Program, will lead a discussion about efforts happening now and in the future for Spokane River salmon.

For many Inland Northwest residents, the Spokane Tribe's Anadromous Program and salmon restoration project symbolize the heart of our region.

In connection with the current "Spokane River Salmon: Past, Present, and Future" exhibit (running now through November 30 at Central Library), program director Conor Giorgi will provide a look at what is being accomplished for the salmon, as well as an update on what to expect in the future. From the choice of release sites to the inspiration of individual fish who pursue their life cycle in the face of daunting obstacles, Giorgi provides the scientific voice of this endeavor.
