nxʷyxʷyetkʷ HallIn this all-ages-friendly event, George Hill will discuss the art he produced for the library's "Spokane River Salmon: Past. Present. Future" exhibit with naturalist and author Jack Nisbet.
Spokane tribal artist George Hill has been drawing, painting, carving, and sculpting the way he sees salmon within the Spokane culture for his entire life. Jack Nisbet will talk to George about the people and places that led him to create individual pieces for the "Spokane River Salmon: Past, Present, and Future" exhibit, as well as how Hill sees the relationship between people and fish going forward. A walk through the exhibit with the artist will follow the discussion.
