Holidays can be difficult for people living with dementia and their families. We will discuss how to prepare for some of those challenges.
Because holidays often mean changes in routine, time around larger numbers of people and more stress, they can be difficult for people living with dementia and their families. This module discusses how to prepare for some of those challenges.
Geared toward both unpaid caregivers and healthcare workers, this series is a monthly, in-depth exploration of many topics related to dementia. Topics include effective communication strategies, understanding and responding to dementia behaviors, a strengths-based approach to dementia behaviors and emergency situations.
This is presented by the Spokane Regional Dementia Friendly Community and Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington.
