Whimsical Hand Lettering
With the Spokane Calligraphy Guild
Thursday, August 13
4:30pm - 6:30pm
Try your hand at some fun ways to enhance your writing in this fun workshop.
Have you ever wanted to add some flourish to your handwriting or just make it special occasionally? This workshop, presented by the Spokane Calligraphy Guild, is a beginner-friendly, and fun way to add some delight to your handwriting. Perfect for when you want to add name cards to your dinner table, make an envelope fancy or add some zing to your zines. Based on your personal handwriting, we will do a series of exercises. Then we will create fun variations and new styles of writing with each letter of the alphabet. We will rearrange and layer letters and lines using pencils and pointed markers.
All supplies will be provided. No experience necessary.
This program is presented in association with the exhibit at Central Library: Calligraphy: The Art of Beautiful Lettering, which is on view from July 8 - August 30.

By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations (i.e. hearing assistance, ASL requests, or other ADA inquiries), email sday@spokanelibrary.org.
