Join the Spokane Campfire Stories anthology editors and Pivot to craft your perfect fireside story.
Participants will listen to readings and get inspired by campfire stories from the National Parks anthology and discuss craft elements that make a compelling narrative. Folks from Pivot, Spokane’s premier live storytellers, will coach attendees on the art of oral storytelling. There will be a generative open space to plan your campfire story, including provided prompts and other inspiration. And finally, we will end with an open mic to share your story! Attendees are invited to participate in whichever elements they feel comfortable engaging in. Some folks may share stories aloud, while others may only listen and support the storytellers.
Participants are invited to submit to the forthcoming Spokane Campfire Stories anthology here.
