Silent Writing Party is a community event for writers to inspire them to get fresh words on the page. It's difficult to find motivation to write: This low-pressure event provides it.
An introvert's dream! Bring the writing instrument of your choice (pen and paper? laptop? quill and scroll?) and settle down for an hour-and-a-half of uninterrupted writing time. Whatever genre of writing you explore, this will be a chance to fully engage with your literary project. Our new Writing Education Specialist (local novelist Sharma Shields) will be on hand to provide writing resources before and after the silent session.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations, call the library at 509-444-5308.
