From its origins and historical evolution to the essentials of flock selection, care, and Spokane's chicken ordinance, this talk will have you clucking all the way to the feed store!
Juan Juan, Spokane Public Library's community educator, has been a passionate chicken enthusiast for decades. A self-proclaimed 'chicken psychiatrist,' she’s not only had her chickens provide her breakfast, but also used them to teach her children valuable life lessons. Whether you’re a seasoned chicken keeper or just curious about getting started, this visually captivating talk has something for everyone!
