Local poets and writers will share their original short works based on rare books from the Spokane Public Library's special collections, which are kept in a climate-controlled room called "the vault."
An award-winning group of Inland Northwest writers will share their responses to various rare books found within the Spokane Public Library vault. This event, meant to inspire an unexpected and lyrical conversation between the past and the present, will be in the style of an exhibit in the Inland Northwest Special Collections. A short discussion will take place and attendees will be able to interact with the authors, the rare books they selected, and their new written works.
The featured writers for this event are the following: Margaret Albaugh, Shantell Jackson, Inga Laurent, Ben Read, Annastacia Stegall, Ben Van Voorhis, and Nance Van Winckel.
