This fusible quilting class will focus on modern quilting tenants such as improvisation, positive and negative shapes, bold modern colors, asymmetry, playing with minimalism and maximalism. Die cutters, a variety of circle dies, and fabric scraps will be available for the students to create a collage. Big stitch quilting may be added to the finished piece if time allows. Before we begin the workshop, there will be a short presentation on modern quilting principles. If you have a rotary cutter and small cutting mat, please bring them along. If not, we will provide all supplies.

About the presenters: The Inland Northwest Modern Quilt Guild (INMOD) was founded January 2016 in Spokane, WA to meet the growing need to have a modern quilting community in the greater Spokane area. They are a non-profit 501(3)(c) affiliated with the Modern Quilt Guild. INMOD's mission is to support, encourage, and inspire the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education, and community.
