Learn the basics of songwriting, and find your inspiration.
For many people, music is like magic. The act of creating original music can be so mystifying that many people refuse to believe it is something they are capable of, something they are worthy of pursuing. Music Education Specialist Andy Rumsey will demystify the process of writing music and provide a few tips and tricks to help you feel empowered to start writing your own songs. Every day, you contribute to the music of life...now just add the harmony.
This event is presented by the Lullaby Project, a program that originates from Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute that pairs parents and families with professional artists to craft personalized lullabies for their little ones. It's a unique opportunity for parents to express their feelings, hopes, and dreams for their children through the power of music.
