A generative writing workshop involving research tools and writing prompts culled from the library's special collections.
Come write in the beautiful Inland Northwest Special Collections! Located on the third floor of Spokane's Central Library, the INSC holds more than 18,000 items including reference books, maps, city directories, periodicals, archival materials and more specific to the history of the Inland Northwest. The library's Writing Education Specialist Sharma Shields is a published novelist and works reference in the room, and she'll share research tips for creative writers and fun historical writing prompts culled from the collection.
PLEASE NOTE THAT INK PENS, BEVERAGES, AND FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE INSC. There are lockers available for bags and personal items. This workshop will be capped at 15 people.
