Experiment with non-linear narrative in this generative, hands-on essay workshop and draw inspiration from visual art to explore personal stories through juxtaposition and associative thinking.
About the presenter: Lauren W. Westerfield is the author of Woman House: Essays and Assemblages, winner of the 2025 Juniper Prize in Creative Nonfiction and forthcoming in March 2026 from the University of Massachusetts Press. Her first book, Depth Control, a collection of genre-bending essays, was published in 2025 by Unsolicited Press. She teaches creative writing at Washington State University, where she serves as the editor-in-chief of Blood Orange Review, and lives here.
