Try your hand at Scratchboard Art, a form of engraving with striking results.
Scratchboard is the process of using a sharp utensil like a craft blade to scratch, or scrape, the ink from black scratchboard paper to reveal the white underneath. Using the blade, you can create dimension through hatching and cross hatching or stippling, even the pressure of the weight you put into the blade on the paper has an effect. It is considered a form of engraving though the final product is the scratchboard itself rather than prints.
All materials will be supplied though you might want to bring a black and white image or idea to work from.
