Visit Shadle Park Library's Discovery Garden and have your questions answered by Juan Juan, Community Educator behind the idea of the garden.
As part of the annual Tour de Farms produced by Growing Neighbors, the Discovery Garden at Shadle Park Library showcases a sample of tropical Asian vegetables this year, along with dozens of perennial native plants, strawberries, and herbs. It serves as a fertile feeding ground for birds and pollinators, as well as an opportunity for partnership and program inspiration. It provides visual enjoyment and fresh fruit and produce throughout the growing season for the community. Small in size but mighty in its purpose, it is an integral part of Spokane Public Library's horticulture education program.

You can find Juan Juan at the harvest swap event in the lobby if you have any questions during the tour hours.
As a pollinator-friendly garden, bees are present at Discovery Garden. If you are allergic to them, please be aware of their presence. By visiting, you agree to hold Spokane Public Library harmless in the event of any encounter with bees.
