Explore where our water comes from and how it supports our lives with games and a craft activity.
Thanksgiving is a time for reflecting on what we are grateful for—the people we love, our friends, warm shelter, and food… but these things we cherish wouldn’t be possible without WATER! Join us to celebrate water by learning about our special aquifer, the hidden source of our drinking water in Spokane. Using hands-on models, play a game to explore why water conservation is so important for protecting our aquifer and the Spokane river. Then, put your creativity to work by painting a watercolor haiku to artistically express your gratitude.
All supplies are included. Recommended for ages 8–14. This program is a joint effort of Spokane County Water Resources and the Spokane Public Library.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
