South Hill EventsLearn about near earth asteroids and the spacecraft that visit them. We'll discuss what skills astronauts will need to visit asteroids and make a space helmet from a paper bag.
There are many asteroids that come close to Earth. These are called NEA's, or Near Earth Asteroids. We'll learn why they are important and what spacecraft have been learning about them recently. We'll think about the skills an astronaut would need to visit them and make a space helmet from a paper bag.
