Luke is a key figure in Spokane's community and has been actively involved in various community-building initiatives, including the Spokane Workers Co-op.
RANGE Media, initiated as a personal project by Luke in April 2020, has grown into a dedicated media organization with a focus on the Inland Northwest. Its mission is to provide a platform that highlights the perspectives of marginalized communities, ensuring that news and information are accessible to everyone.
One of the unique aspects of RANGE is its ownership structure. It's owned by the Spokane Workers Cooperative, which means that all its employees have a stake in the organization. This model promotes independence and aligns with RANGE's commitment to community engagement.
In our chat, we'll explore the journey of RANGE Media, its goals, and its impact on the community. We'll also discuss the challenges and opportunities of running a media organization in today's dynamic landscape.
We hope to see you there for an insightful conversation about local media and its role in shaping our community.
