Author and columnist Ammi Midstokke hosts a creative writing workshop for teenagers.
This workshop is catered to young writers in 6th grade through high school who are learning to bring the wonder of the individual self to their work. We will explore how voice sets stories apart and how mining our own perceptions and thoughts of the world around us is how we nurture and free the unique voice of the writers within us.
In this two-hour class, we’ll be using prompts to discover ourselves in our work. Whether you’re writing fiction, poetry, or book reports, this workshop promises a good time and better writing!
Author Bio:
Ammi Midstokke grew up in the forests of North Idaho, where spring trilliums and fall firewood left their mark on her soul. After over a decade of global adventures that often included the luxury of electricity and running water, she returned to her hometown of Sandpoint. She lives in the mountains with her husband, their two children, and a fluctuating animal-to-human ratio. She is an author and weekly columnist for the Spokesman Review and other publications.
