Beavers and Their Relationship to Human World
A Spokane Audubon Society Presentation
Wednesday, March 11
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Shadle Park
Shadle Park StudioWA Dept. of Fish & Wildlife habitat biologist Jacob Levitus explores the relationship between beavers and humans, including history, beaver behavior, ecosystem services, and conflict management.
Before joining the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Jacob coordinated the Ksik Stakii beaver mimicry and nonlethal management project for the Blackfeet Nation in Montana, where he helped advance nature-based solutions to watershed resilience. He later served as Director of Operations for Dryland Revival, a Spokane‑based regenerative landscaping company dedicated to replacing traditional lawns with native, drought‑tolerant habitat. Across all his roles, Jacob is committed to reconnecting people to the ecosystems that surround them.
