As part of the 7th Annual Spokane Writers Conference, picture book author Ejia Sumner workshop will demystify the process of publishing picture books.
Picture book author Ejia Sumner will share her experiences with publication and summarize how to search for agents, how to write query letters, and how to prepare a manuscript for submission.
The Spokane Writers Conference is an annual two-day event organized by Spokane County Library District and Spokane Public Library. All workshops are free and open to the public.
About the presenter:
Eija Sumner writes lyrical, quirky, and humorous picture books. Her first picture book, Crocodile Hungry published in 2022 from Tundra Books. Her second picture book, The Good Little Mermaid’s Guide to Bedtime, publishes in the Spring of 2024, also from Tundra Books. Eija also writes non-fiction for children and novels for older kids and teens. Eija presented at the 6th Annual Spokane Writers Conference on “Writing Picture Books.”
