Heat Speak celebrates the release of their new full-length record, de bouquet ok, with a live performance.
Dario Ré, artist, producer and lead singer-songwriter of genre-bending indie ensemble Heat Speak, has announced the release of a new full-length record, de bouquet ok (slated for release January 12th at the Spokane Public Library—Central Branch). In March of 2023, the band logged 40-hours of studio time in Central Library’s state-of-the-art recording facilities with Andy Rumsey acting as lead engineer. Ré invited 11 other players to record sessions throughout the week and then spent the remainder of the year off-grid in his mountain home above Sandpoint, Idaho arranging and mixing the record with Nashville’s Wilson Harwood of Elevated Productions.
de bouquet ok marks Heat Speak’s fifth record since 2017 and is easily their most sonically breathtaking music to date featuring electric vocal performances by Andie Daisley; dreamy lap steel by Lane King; textural guitar by Shawn Duffy; dynamic sting parts by Phil Pintor, Caroline Bickford and Tim Gales; djembe and congas by Zack Zuniga; keyboards and percussion by Terri Parrish; guitars and percussion by Jules Smith; drums by Ariana Colts; and piano, guitars, accordion, vocals and percussion by Dario Ré.
The album release show will feature all 12 musicians live at the Spokane Public Library (Central Branch) on the third floor looking over the falls. Bellingham’s swoony duet, Traesti Darling will also perform. The show is free, all-ages and will be broadcast live on KYRS radio.
While several of the 10 new songs will be making their live debut January 12th, diehard fans are already getting a taste of Heat Speak’s new music via a CD only prerelease exclusively for patrons of the band. Early access to their records is one of many perks to those who choose to donate a monthly contribution to the project. Learn more and become a patron of Heat Speak at www.heatspeakmusic.com.
