This event is a collaborative effort between Spokane Public Library, Refugee and Immigrant Connections Spokane, and Empire Health Foundation, highlighting the resilience and hope that define the human spirit.
The documentary offers an intimate look at the experiences of displacement, the challenges of starting anew, and the unwavering strength it takes to rebuild lives in a foreign land. From harrowing escapes to moments of joyous triumph, the film captures a spectrum of emotions and the reality of what it means to be a refugee.
Following the screening, engage with some of the courageous individuals featured in the film during a panel discussion. Hear their stories firsthand and join the conversation about the impact of resettlement and the community's role in supporting new neighbors.
