NAACP Spokane Branch 2026: Candidate Forums
Wednesday, October 14
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Central Library
nxʷyxʷyetkʷ HallNAACP Spokane invites the community to our Candidate Forum featuring candidates for Congress and Spokane County Prosecutor
At this public venue, community members can speak directly to federal decision-makers about the issues impacting our families, neighborhoods, and futures. When Black residents of Spokane attend, we bring lived experience, expertise, and clarity to conversations that too often overlook our realities. Our participation strengthens accountability and ensures that the policies being discussed reflect the needs of the people most affected.
Showing up is not just civic engagement; it is a continuation of our legacy. Historically, Black voices as well as other members of the global majority were excluded from these rooms, and today our presence is a powerful reminder that we belong in every space where decisions are made. By attending the Congressional Forum, we safeguard our rights, elevate community priorities, and help shape a more equitable future for Spokane and beyond. NAACP Spokane calls on our community to stand together, speak boldly, and remain active in the processes that determine our collective well-being.
Registration is required for this event.
