A writing program for grade-school kids where we write and illustrate stories inspired by global mythologies.
What if Medusa worked at Trader Joe's? What if you went skating at Roller Valley with a Japanese kappa? How would you like to bake cupcakes at Sweet Frostings with the multi-armed Vishnu assisting you? In this creative writing workshop, we'll examine exciting icons from world mythologies and create stories inspired by their distinct characteristics. We'll combine their magic with familiar, real-life settings to form truly original and hilarious works of fiction. Young writers will get to take home a book they've decorated to share with their families and friends.
