Paris at the turn of the century was aswirl with artists, writers and musicians; all lit up with the energy of the New Century and Paris? Magic. Enjoy stories, photographs, artwork & music.
David Jacobs, Artist-In-Residence at The Hive® has a fascination for the Paris Art Scene from the 1880s through the 1920s. As a former book and ephemera dealer and collector, he has spent hundreds of hours researching this era. Jacobs will present the menagerie of creatives that made Paris the wonder it was at that time. He will share stories, photographs, artwork and music. Bring a notebook or sketchbook (or we’ll provide one) so you can jot down the parts that inspire you. We’ll spend time looking, listening and discussing. Mostly being transported and hopefully inspired. Part art-history lecture, part salon, you’re sure to enjoy this armchair traveling session.
