Spokane’s neighborhoods are turning 25! Celebrate the Office of Neighborhood Services at Lilac City Live! with music, laughs, civic pride, and the debut of a brand-new zine for neighbors.
Spokane’s Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS) is turning 25—and you’re invited to celebrate a quarter century of grassroots community building at a special edition of Lilac City Live!, Spokane Public Library’s late-night talk show.
Since its founding, ONS has helped shape Spokane’s 29 neighborhood councils—empowering residents and business owners to work together, speak up, and make real change in their communities. This milestone honors the partnerships and people who make Spokane’s neighborhoods vibrant, resilient, and uniquely local.
The evening begins with a 7pm pre-party where you can participate in activities and stations to win prizes, enjoy a community resource fair, and view historic neighborhood displays. The main show starts at 8pm, with live interviews, music, and more.

Attendees will receive a copy of This is Spokane: A Civic Guide for Neighbors, a brand-new zine created by ONS to help Spokane residents understand how the city works and how to get involved. Here's a sneak peek!
