Lunar New Year Celebration
Experience Filipino Culture through Music & Dance
Saturday, January 25
1:00pm - 2:00pm
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the Filipino American Association of the Inland Empire through an enchanting program of traditional cultural dances, music, and more!
This event features four traditional Filipino dances:
- Ragragsakan: A joyful dance with baskets, honoring the Kalinga community's deep connection to nature and heritage.
- Pamaypay: A fan dance that highlights elegance and charm.
- Dayang Dayang: A graceful performance reflecting the royal traditions of southern Philippines.
- Tinikling: The lively bamboo dance that mimics the movements of tikling birds, showcasing the dancers' agility and coordination.
Several door prizes donated by local Asian businesses will be drawn during these performances.
In addition to the dance performances, enjoy a fashion show at 2:00 PM, followed by a cooking demonstration at 2:30 PM where you’ll learn how to make Lumpia, a beloved Filipino dish.
