Participants will use the scientific method and household items to discover color separation. Participants will be provided with worksheets and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.
Color chromatography uses the six steps of the scientific method to discover the contents of household markers and flowers. Ever wonder if dogs see differently than humans? Have you ever wanted to separate the colors in a marker? Come join local scientists and learn how to separate the rainbow of colors all around us. A demonstration AND active hands-on experiment will be provided for attendees.
Participants will be provided with worksheets to take home and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.
Children under eight should be accompanied by a caregiver to assist in the learning.
