Fishing for Ice introduces participants to the six steps of the scientific method using household items to discover melting temperatures. Ever wonder why we use salt in the winter time? Have you ever wondered if other items at home could work? Come join local scientists and learn how to fish for ice using only string and household spices!
A demonstration AND active hands-on experiment will be provided for attendees. Participants will be provided with worksheets to take home and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.
This program is intended for kids ages 9-18, and 6-8 with an adult.
