Artist-In-Residence at The Hive®, Brian Deemy will lead a hands-on workshop for participants to learn the historic wet plate collodion (tintype) photographic process introduced in 1851.
When most people imagine an antique photograph, they're probably thinking of a photograph made with the wet plate collodion (tintype) process.
In this workshop, you'll learn how this process is done and make tintypes of your very own! The photos can be of whatever you like, bring an object for a still life or have a portrait of yourself made. Because of the detail-oriented process, this workshop is limited to four participants.
You can see more of Brian's work on his website, Light and Labor.
