Lasers, learning vector illustration, and making your own custom wood cutouts!
We are using technology to cut out our own custom designs using the library's Glowforge! We'll look at where to find free vector art files safely and discuss copyrights, learn how to make our own vector art files using the free website www.photopea.com, which is a transferable skill in Adobe Illustrator, and decorate our wood cutouts. All participants will be able to take home one of their designs and the knowledge on how to continue creating and accessing our technology library.
This program is for ages 10-18. If a young participant is not comfortable navigating a computer or a lengthy sitting session, caretakers are expected to stay in the room to assist their young person.
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations, call the library at 509-444-5308.
