About The Grand Promise and Rebekah Anderson
Rebekah Anderson's debut novel, The Grand Promise, is a work of literary fiction about the real communities in Eastern Washington that were impacted by the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River. The book was called "a thoughtful look" by Kirkus Reviews and "enthralling" by Publisher's Weekly. Anderson is a third-generation Washington native whose family came to the Pacific Northwest as a result of the Homesteading Act, and The Grand Promise is inspired by her family history. She earned an MFA in Fiction from New York University, where she worked under the mentorship of E.L. Doctorow. Learn more at RebekahLAnderson.com.
