Mary has written professionally for more than 30 years. She has wide experience writing and publishing in different genres: fiction and nonfiction for kids, short stories, journalism, ghostwriting memoir, adult nonfiction including parenting, inspirational, and personal growth.
Come and bring your questions and your imagination. Whether this is your first book or you’re an experienced writer tackling a new project, you’ll get the scoop on the current publishing climate and practical information to help you get that book written.
About the presenter:
Former TV journalist Mary Cronk Farrell writes compelling history books about courageous, little-known women who helped shape American history. Her engaging and powerful writing appeals to adults, as well as teens. Her latest book Close-Up On War: The Story of Pioneering Photojournalist Catherine Leroy in Vietnam received four starred reviews. Her book awards include Washington State Book Award Finalist, Booklist Editor’s Choice Notable Social Studies Trade Books, Banks Street College Best Books, California Reading Association Excellence in Nonfiction, SPUR Award for Best Juvenile Fiction about the American West.
