A monthly series set in the Inland Northwest Special Collections where esteemed local writers discuss their writing process. Novelist Leyna Krow, author of Fire Season, joins us this month.
Celebrated novelist Leyna Krow will discuss how research shapes her fiction in this engaging writing series that takes place within the Inland Northwest Special Collections. Attendees will be able to ask Leyna questions about her writing process. Writing Education Specialist and local novelist Sharma Shields will provide resources to help writers uncover further inspiration in the files, maps, books, and online databases of the Central Library.
This is part of an ongoing series perfect for anyone interested in writing historical fiction or non-fiction.
Leyna Krow is the author of the novel Fire Season and the short story collection I’m Fine, But You Appear to Be Sinking. Her short fiction has been optioned for films in Hollywood. She lives here in Spokane and has taught at Eastern Washington University and Spokane Falls Community College.
