Drop in to explore winter-themed STEM challenges. Children under 8 should be accompanied by a caregiver to assist in the activities.

Join us for these winter-themed STEM challenges:

  • Can you engineer a way to safely mail two candy canes without breaking them?
  • Can you build a paper snowman that's taller than anyone else's?
  • Can you imitate a snowflake with beads and pipe cleaners?
  • Can you stay as warm as a penguin on the ice?
  • Can you find the most waterproof material for your winter boots? 

Children should be accompanied by a caregiver to assist in the activities. 

By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.

We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations, call the library at 509-444-5308.
